This beautifully painted porcelain plate is in goose yellow with a lime green and famille rose enamel rim. The painted phoenix represents good fortune in times of peace and prosperity, and is also a symbol of beauty. The peony flower is associated with wealth and honour and was favoured by the imperial family.
